Cable Coach Level 1
BWSW Cable Coach Level 1
Who is it for?
The Cable Coach Level 1 is recommended for anyone who wants to coach ‘beginner’ to ‘intermediate’ riders at a wake park, it is the next step on the cable coaching pathway following the Cable Instructor qualifcation. Candidates will be certified to coach wakeboarders basic foundational tricks and all the necessary skills to guide them safely through to riding out their first basic feature attempts. The qualification meets the minimum standard for coaching unaccompanied at the level outlined below.
What do you learn?
The Cable Coach Level 1 is a blended learning coaching course that covers many areas relevant to being a SAFE, FUN and EFFECTIVE coach. The focus of the course is mostly practical but there will be some coaching and communication theory as well as technical wakeboard theory learnings.
You will ride and coach for each other on the course up to a level of riding that could be seen from a 'basic to intermediate’ level rider and covering everything up to and including Wake Park Progressive Edge Silver. This includes surface rotations, switch riding, ollies and foundational/basic feature tricks.
