Lascelles Open & Junior Trophy
The Lascelles Open Trophy went to Freddie Winter in recognition of his incredible achievements in 2023. Freddie podiumed at every event during 2023 and was World Slalom Champion.

The Lascelles Junior Trophy was awarded to young Barefooter; Henry Sullivan. Having won a Silver medal in Slalom event, Gold in Jump, Gold in Tricks and Gold Overall, at the E & A Championships in Wallsee, Austria, making him the 2023 Juniors Boys Champion.

Volunteers of the Year
The Young Volunteer of the Year is Emily Reakes who volunteers at Llangorse. She has been very active at the club, in particular with supporting the Cutting Edge competition. She dedicates her time to supporting the young athletes and future talent of the sport. 

The Volunteer of the Year is Emily's father; Martyn Reakes. Martyn supports the club in all weathers, Martyn is a valued member of the club, his communication and dedication supports all skiers at every level and age at the club, he helps with the running of the club and maintenance.

Honorary Members
Honorary memberships are given to members who have given outstanding service to BWSW over many years, often decades. This year’s recipient is Colin Hart. Colin was involved in the sport before Wakeboarding was introduced. He has dedicated huge amounts of time in supporting the progression. He is now a valued and experienced Wakeboard judge who has judged at most Boat Nationals and he is also an International judge. 

Lascelles Grants
Each year, a number of promising athletes under 18 from across the disciplines are awarded grants to help with their training and to prepare for competitions. The grants are named after former BWSW Honorary President, Major General Anthony Lascelles, who left a major bequest specifically to support talented youngsters in our sport.

While the money from the bequest has now run out, BWSW continues to support the grants in the General’s name.
