3 GB Skiers at University Worlds

Three British skiers are competing at the 2025 IWWF University Worlds, taking place in New Zealand this week.

The competition gets under way at Orakei Basin in Auckland at 7pm GMT on Tuesday 25th February (8am local time on Wednesday).

It will feature many of the best university athletes from around the world.

There are around 80 participants from 19 different countries, including 7 former IWWF Junior World Champions.

The competitors representing Great Britain are:

  • Amber Butterfield (slalom, tricks & jump)
  • Ryan Mead (slalom)
  • Saba Yorke-Davies (slalom)

The team is being supported by Amber's father Paul, as Team Manager, and his wife Kim.

The competition continues until Sunday 2nd March and will be livestreamed on the IWWF Sport YouTube Channel.

It's the first time the New Zealand Waterski Association has hosted an IWWF World Titled traditional waterski event at the Auckland Water Ski Club. The 2025 IWWF University Worlds kicks off tomorrow and you won’t want to miss one second of the action.
