3 Medals for GB at Cable Wakeboard Worlds
10 November 2022
Huge congratulations to our three medallists at the IWWF Cable Wakeboard & Wakestate World Championships, held in Thailand from 1st to 6th November.
A large squad of 27 GB riders was selected and was among 250 riders from 33 countries at the Championships.
There were some outstanding performances with many of our athletes reaching the finals in their categories and 15 Top 10 finishes.
The stars of the show were our three medallists.
New mum Stephanie Williams-Caller could not quite defend the title she took at the previous two Worlds in 2016 and 2018 but finished with the silver medal in the Masters Women (Over 30) category.
Stephanie gave birth to a son earlier this year and was in Thailand with him.

Team Captain Dale Crossley matched Steph’s result with a silver in the Masters Men.
He was a winner off the water too after his marriage proposal to girlfriend Danielle Robyn on finals day (filmed for posterity by some of the GB support crew) was accepted!
Congratulations to them both.

India Laverack completed the medal tally for the Brits, taking bronze in the Under 18 Junior Women Wakeskate.
