Alan Murray MBE Joins BWSW Staff Team

We very much welcome Alan Murray MBE, former Chief Operating Officer, Waterski & Wakeboard Scotland who will be joining the BWSW staff team as Lead Safeguarding Officer (LSO) with immediate effect.
Alan was the driving force behind the sport and the National Training Site, Dunfermline for 40 years and he has made a huge contribution to the sport as both an employee and in his many voluntary roles over many years. As our new BWSW safeguarding lead Alan brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role having acted as LSO in Scotland for many years and having been part of the BWSW Safeguarding Case Management Group also.

BWSW is firmly committed to safeguarding the welfare of children in our sport. We have worked closely with the Child Protection In Sport Unit (CPSU) and NSPCC to develop robust policy and procedures to safeguard children and vulnerable adults, achieving the NSPCC & CPSU's National Advanced Standards for safeguarding. We work closely with all our clubs and statutory agencies to ensure that safeguarding children and the vulnerable is prioritised. Any allegation, suspicion of harm or concern is taken seriously and responded to swiftly, fairly and appropriately.
