BWSW L1 & L2 Waterski & Wakeboard Coaching Course - Additional Adaptive Workshop Included
1 May 2024
BWSW is hosting a Level 2 Waterski and Wakeboard coaching course at Access Adventures - the home of adaptive waterskiing and wakeboarding, Surrey on 27th May - 2nd June 2024.
We are really excited to be hosting this unique course. Whilst the course will be delivered in the typical format, we are also including a half day adaptive workshop to be delivered by Access Adventures - at no extra cost!
A half day will focus on coaching participants with disabilities, to include information on disability awareness, adaptive equipment and skier assessment, plus practical sessions learning to support beginner adaptive skiers in the water.
As part of the coaching course, you are required to teach and coach your fellow candidates. There will be some candidates on this course of whom have a physical disability so this will provide some hands on experience for you in coaching someone who has a physical or other disability.
This course will not only provide you with the skills you need to be a qualified BWSW Waterski and Wakeboard coach, but also allow you some additional disability coaching CPD.
Introducing more diverse participants to our sport is something we are really passionate about, this specific course will provide you with some new skills and confidence in ensuring the first time experience for any new beginner is a positive one.
If you are interested in becoming a coach, and specifically coaching those with disabilities then this is the perfect course for you.
