The GB Barefoot team had a good E & A Championships in some very difficult weather conditions that saw several events cancelled, including the blue ribbon event Open Men Jump.

Despite the poor weather Tom Heaps had a convincing win in Junior Boys taking the Gold in Tricks, Slalom and Jump, scoring the highest scores of anyone in the entire competition in each event. Tom also took the overall European Junior Title.

In Seniors, Dave Field of White Rose WSC took the Slalom Silver and the Overall silver. The GB Team took the silver medal behind Germany with Holland taking 3rd. There were 10 nations taking part with 70 entries - the largest Europeans Barefoot Championships since 2008.

The British team will be travelling at the end of the week to the USA for the World Championships to be joined by Dave Small. Dave recently skiied in the American Nationals last week and set a pending world record of over 14000 points, the first person to break the 14000 mark in competition.
