Introduction to Disability Workshop for Coaches

BWSW are working with Access Adventures to deliver an Introduction to Disability on Saturday 15th June. This day is designed for any currently licensed coach/instructor who would like to find out more about disability and how to provide the best possible experience of our sport to disabled and non-disabled people.
The day will focus on information on disability awareness, adaptive equipment and skier assessment, and includes an afternoon of hands on practical sessions learning to support beginner adaptive skiers in the water. You will have the opportunity to learn from disability experts, ask questions and gain hands on practical experience, so increasing your confidence and skills. And it’s free to attend.
The day starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm and will be based at Access Adventures, near Staines.
Introducing more diverse participants to our sport is something we are really passionate about, this specific course will provide you with some new skills and confidence in ensuring the first time experience for any new beginner is a positive one.
